#ThrowbackThursday: Kit Harington talks Emily Browning, Australia & Working out for ‘Pompeii’!
Game of Thrones spunk Kit Harington left quite a good impression on us as he hit the red carpet of the Australian premiere of his new action flick Pompeii!
Hollywood Treatment were lucky enough to hit the red carpet and have a quick chat with Kit below!
Pompeii follows the story of Milo (Harington), a slave-turned-gladiato0r, who finds himself in a race against time to save his true love, who has been betrothed to a corrupt Roman Senator. As Mount Vesuvius erupts, he must fight to save his beloved as Pompeii crumbles around him.
Now this isn’t the first time we got to go one-on-one with the star who plays the hunky Jon Snow in US hit series, Game of Thrones – We were lucky enough to meet him at Entertainment Weekly’s Comic Con party.
On getting in shape for Pompeii: “I’m not a 6ft 3in guy who can bulk up and just look like an absolute unit, a tank. My body type has a tiny bit of stockiness to it but it’s really quite wiry, so for Pompeii that was the sort of look I had to go for – ‘prison fit’, like Robert De Niro in Cape Fear.”
On his character in Game of Thrones: “The physical stuff is very much a part of who Jon Snow is and over the four years I’ve got into rock climbing, ice climbing, sword fighting and horse riding.”
On an injury that didn’t stop him: “I did my ankle really, really badly about two months prior to the third series of Thrones. I spoke to doctors and physios but it was the training for Pompeii that got me back to full fitness.”
