It seems having international actress Lindsay Lohan on the judging panel of Channel 10’s The Masked Singer Australia is casting doubts on the show foreseeable future.
Producers are looking for loop holes and working with the Australian government to try and get Lindsay into Melbourne as soon as the borders open.
With production for the second season originally slated to take place next week, an insider tells Hollywood Treatment the show’s future is “up in the air”.
They’re working with Dubai and Australia to see if there’s anything they can do to get her here.
Warner Bros. Television, who produce the series in Australia, has reportedly also considered going ahead without Lindsay – and getting her “streamed into the show” or have her act as a host for the show from a set in Dubai.
Last year, Network Ten confirmed that the series will be making its return late 2020.
They also confirmed that judges Lindsay Lohan, Dave Hughes, Jackie O Henderson and Dannii Minogue will all be returning.
Speaking about the show’s return in November 2019, Lindsay revealed that the upcoming season will be filmed in Melbourne instead of Sydney due to Marvel taking over Fox Studios.
